Avant-Garde Harajuku Style w/ ESQAPE Spring Sneakers, TaxEvasion Shanghai Bag, Slash Corset/Harness & Never Mind The XU

While out on the streets of Tokyo, we came across Raiki, a 14-year-old Japanese street style personality sporting an eye-catching look.

Raiki stepped out in a Maple House sheer white shirt with green floral prints worn off-the-shoulders, green graphic print cropped top styled with a Slash Beijing corset, which they paired with dark pinstripe pants with side lace-up details. Statement-making silver ESQAPE “Lord Campus” z-coil spring sneakers from Never Mind the XU and accessories such as star hair clips, a cross chain necklace layered with a pearl necklace and a remake waist bag with an Ignio glove. In addition, Raiki is carrying a TaxEvasion Shanghai handbag.

Dark Tokyo Gothic Street Style w/ Atelier BOZ Hooded Cape, Moi-Meme-Moitie Asymmetric Skirt, Ruffle Umbrella & Dress Shoes

Standing out on the streets of Tokyo with his all black gothic and steampunk look is Seryu, a Japanese artist.

Seryu is dressed in a cropped hooded cape coat from Atelier Boz, a pinstripe ruffle shirt, an asymmetric Atelier Boz skirt and a dark floral print tiered skirt panel from Moi-Meme-Moitie. Black socks, black leather lace-up shoes and a leather satchel shoulder bag completed his outfit. Black face mask, eyeglasses with gold chain straps, a silver cross necklace and a black ruffled umbrella are the finishing touches to his overall style.

Atelier Boz and Moi-Meme-Moitie are two of Seryu’s favorite fashion labels and he enjoys listening to two-member Japanese band, Ali Project. Find him on Instagram.

In Harajuku, we caught up with Anzu, an 18-year-old student we’ve featured a few times on our street snaps.

This time, Anzu – with her hair styled up in twin tails – is clad in a black Texas t-shirt from Kinji, short shorts from Zara, white socks and black lace-up heeled shoes, also from Zara. Anzu embellished her minimalist outfit with accessories such as a silver ear cuff, a silver D&G clover necklace, a cross pendant necklace and silver rings. In addition, Anzu is carrying a Gucci monogram sling bag.

Anzu loves to shop at Zara and she likes listening to the music of South Korean boy group, Big Bang. Find her on Instagram.

Meet Sana Seine, a Japanese gothic lolita who is a well known personality in the Tokyo subculture fashion scene. We were lucky to meet Sana on the street in Harajuku.

Sana styled her ombre gray and pink hair up into curly twin tails, which she accented with an Edera+peta-peta lolita lace headdress featuring a fish head and floral accents. She wore an Atelier Boz Matilda gothic and lolita one piece dress coat – a steampunk-inspired swing coat which features a jabot collar, a zippered front with vintage button accents, shoulder and side straps, and a tiered black dress panel at the back. She styled her coat dress with a black faux leather bird cage skirt from Chante, donned black Triple Fortune fishnets with embroidered details and stud accents and finished off her style with black platform doll shoes from Metamorphose Temps De Fille. Sana embellished her Japanese gothic lolita look with blue flower boutonnieres, a layered filigree cross charm necklace, and a bronze flower pendant necklace with matching rings. In addition, Sana is carrying a colorblocked leather satchel backpack with a cute pink plushie keychain.

Easily standing out on the streets of Tokyo with their purple hair and striking street goth ensembles are Mahoushozyomiuchan and Kyoppe.

On the left side sporting an all black look is Mahoushozyomiuchan, a 19-year-old medical clerk. She is dressed in a long sleeve ruffle blouse, which she tucked into a satin high-waisted skirt with lace-up corset details, ruched trims and ruffled lace hems. Her skirt is sourced from Killstar. To finish, she wore black knee high lace socks with ruffle trims and Yosuke caged platforms with chain accents. For her accessories, she wore a black lace-trimmed hat, multiple earrings, a Glavil cross necklace, black lace gloves embellished with silver knuckle rings and a jeweled heart purple hair tie worn as a bracelet. In addition, she is carrying a Vivienne Westwood glitter satchel handbag and a black ruffle-trimmed parasol. Her favorite fashion brand is Vivienne Westwood and she likes listening to Creephyp. Meanwhile, Kyoppe is sporting twin purple tails styled with a black lace headdress. She stepped out in a monochrome outfit consisting of a white ruffle blouse from Faith Tokyo and a black slogan print dress from Morph8ne. Black ruffle socks, matching Yosuke caged platform shoes with chain trims and a purple leather sling bag from Coach completed her ensemble. Kyoppe embellished her look with accessories from Never Mind the XU such as dangling skeleton earrings, a black choker with a lock pendant and chain trims, a black leather cuff bracelet and a Morpeko Pokemon purple plushie keychain. The 16-year-old student is also carrying a white teddy bear embellished with a black headdress, eye mask and cuffs. Kyoppe lists Thailand fashion brand, Morph8ne as her current favorite and she is active on Instgram.

In Harajuku, we came across these 3 girls sporting color-coordinated black & white outfits with pops of red. They are Chapimero, Non and Kuure.

At the left is 20-year-old Chapimero. Her outfit features a long sleeve button down skeleton print shirt with contrast white collar and cuffs and strawberry prints, which she paired with a black strawberry print skirt. Both pieces are from popular Japanese streetwear brand, ACDC Rag. Black tights, black lace-up platform booties from Yosuke and accessories such as a feathered hair bow, layered silver pendant necklaces, a garterized wide grommet belt and an assortment of silver knuckle rings completed her style. Most of her accessories are from Paris Kids and Medi Store. Chapimero likes listening to the music of Radwimps and she is active on Twitter and Instagram.

15-year-old Non – at the middle – stepped out in a monochrome striped sweater from Ingni, worn underneath a black anime print shirt from WEGO. Black GU shorts, red WEGO ribbed socks over white Don Quixote fishnet tights, and a pair of pointy lace-up platforms from Nuovo rounded out her look. Non topped off her style with accessories such as a red flower hair clip, a red leather choker, a red bead necklace layered with a red chain necklace, a red organza hair scrunchie worn at the wrist, a silver chain belt and a few knuckle rings. Some of her accessories are handmade pieces while some are from 6%DokiDoki. Non said that she likes to shop at WEGO and that her favorite music artists/groups are Arashi, Seiko Oomori and Sotaisei Riron. Non is active on Twitter, follow her!

Meanwhile, Kuure is dressed in a black zipper jacket (her father’s), a white GRL button down shirt with a black neck bow and a black pleated skirt from WEGO. The 16-year-old student finished off their look with white ruffled lace ankle socks, black lace-up sneakers bought at Amazon and a bag from Alice On Wednesday (not shown in photos). A Paris Kids ruffled lace bow headpiece and a black mask completed their look. Japanese rock group, Oisicle Melonpan, is Kuure’s favorite music act.

While we were out and about on the streets of Harajuku, 18-year-old Japanese student Mikael caught our attention with her dark vintage inspired green velvet look.

Mikael is wearing a dark green velvet long-sleeved dress from Pameo Pose, which features a lace chest overlay and pearl embellishments on the sleeves. To style her dress, she carried a furry green Snidel bag and wore a pair of black low wedge shoes. She accessorized with pieces from Killstar, including a gold cross chain necklace and long tassel earrings. Finishing the look are a Tete salon de Chapeau pillbox hat and black lace gloves that matched her dress’ lace detailing.

One evening, we came across Remon and Emiry, two Japanese streetwear style personalities we often see around the Harajuku streets.

At the left is Emiry, the 6%DOKIDOKI staffer sporting a blue twin wavy tails hairstyle. She is dressed in a pink kawaii print motorcycle jacket with furry collar and sleeves from 6%DokiDoki. She styled her jacket with a sheer blue cropped collared blouse from Algonquins, which she wore on top of a black Katie dress. The dress features a lace-up corset detail and ruffled lace skirt details. Blue Vivienne Westwood thigh high socks and pink-and-blue iridescent platform boots from Demonia completed her outfit. Emiry topped off her look with accessories such as a blue ruffled organza headdress with bows, a heart print face mask, a handful of brooches pinned to her jacket collar, a Vivienne Westwood orb pendant necklace, a couple of rings including a blue armor ring. Some of her accessories are from Fancy Soda. Emiry lists 6%DokiDoki, Spiny Cream and Rurumul and she loves the music of South Korean boy band, Block B. Meanwhile, Remon – a 19-year-old student – stepped out in an all black outfit with red accents. She styled her half-color hair into twin tails with black satin bows and wore a Killstar Spooky Tunes bomber jacket, a button down shirt from Meimmeim and a resale tiered ruffle skirt with a front-zip detail. Remon wrapped a black grommet belt around her waist and donned thigh-high lace-up leather boots from Demonia. She embellished her style with accessories such as a black face mask, a spiked leather o-ring choker, silver chain pendant necklaces layered with an oversized red cross necklace, a silver ring and a couple of armor rings. Most of Remon’s accessories are sourced from Brindle, Glavil, Morph8ne and Vivienne Westwood. In addition, she is carrying a black patent leather Killstar clasp purse sling bag, featuring a monochrome print with bows and ruffle trims. Brazilian Tattoo Artist in Gothic Harajuku Street Style w/ Medusa Piercing, Cameo Jewelry, Graphic Dress, Alice and the Pirates, Angelic Pretty, Winged Heart Bag & Boots

Easily catching our attention in Tokyo is Beatriz, a Brazilian tattoo artist based in Tokyo.

This afternoon, orange-haired Beatriz stepped out sporting a gothic look. Her style features an asymmetric chiffon vest – bought in China – and layered with a sheer black lace camisole top from Alice and the Pirates. She also wore a print dress with sheer black sleeves and ruffled lace hem trims, also bought in China. Sheer black polka dot socks, pointy lace-up ankle boots from Reversa and an Alice and the Pirates heart-shaped bag with bat wings rounded out her look. Beatriz embellished her style with a black wide brim hat with sheer fabric and feather trims from Angelic Pretty and accessories such as dangling fishbone earrings, a gold cross necklace, a cameo cuff bracelet, a multi-strand pearl bracelet and a couple of brass knuckle rings. Some of her accessories are from China while some are handmade and antique/vintage pieces.

Japanese Vintage Street Style w/ Bob Hairstyle, Oversized Jacket, Scarf Belt & Boots

Erika is a Japanese vintage clothing seller who we spotted on the street in Tokyo’s Harajuku neighborhood.

In addition to her Japanese bob hairstyle, Erika is wearing an oversized leather jacket from her vintage shop Mercury-Online over a vintage skirt/dress also from Mercury-Online, a backpack, silver rings by Recoil1661, and heeled boots by the Japanese brand RNA.
